Credit Analyst

The role holder will provide analysis in support of the corporate bond holdings, and will communicate that view, within the investments team and to related outside parties if required.

It is envisaged that the successful role holder will be given much responsibility quickly, and duties will likely include analysing financials and recommending trades, supervising the monitoring of credit exposures in bond funds and maintaining and developing the rating analysis system. In addition, you will liaise with other analysts, borrowers and colleagues (including within the equities teams) and conduct sectoral research.

Candidates must be educated to degree level or equivalent and have fixed interest experience within financial services. You should have an understanding of various companies and different markets, structures, financing techniques, cash flow modelling, accounting issues, law and documentation.

• You must be fully or part qualified with CFA (or IIMR).

• The role requires someone who is confident speaking at meetings, comfortable being the focus of attention and able to put forward a robust argument which will be challenged as part of the lively debate with regards to investment decisions.
