Credit Analysts – Commodities Trading recruitment
The team is a very high profile and important group within the business and is an essential support function for the growing trading arm. You will work to establish, control and monitor the counterparty limits across a number of established and developing external clients. This is a great team made up of experienced Credit Officers who are looking to build the team with the best Credit Analysts who are interested in the commodity trading space.
Responsibilities include:
- Analyse counterparties’ credit worthiness in order to recommend appropriate credit limits and credit support. You will work with the commercial teams to help structure and develop more complex transactions.
- Regular renewal and continuous monitoring of counterparty status and anticipation and management of breaches and exceptions.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with counterparties including support in negotiating trading documentation and maximising the credit lines
- Identifying credit support requirements for exchanges, operators and certain new business activities
Skills required:
- Understanding of the key elements of credit risk management with an emphasis on credit assessment in a commodity trading or banking environment.
- Experience of credit assessment in traded markets and familiarity with physical and financial energy products
- Ability to produce accurate credit papers and reports within tight deadlines
- Understanding of risk reports
- Good computer skills (advanced Excel and VB would be an advantage)
- Strong analytical skills
