Credit and Collections Specialist Job in Strongsville 44149, Ohio US
Responsible for all activities associated with the extension of credit and the collection of receivables within established guidelines.

Responsibilities
· Monitor accounts receivable for delinquency.
· Initiate appropriate collection activity via past due notices, telephone, correspondence and collection agency efforts.
· Receive and post payments, and notify concerned parties of payments received. Research discrepancies and debit memos.
· Notify customers of non-sufficient fund checks, arrange for an alternative method of payment and assess charges to accounts.
· Research and provide documentation on credit accounts as requested to include current financial information and credit reports.
· Receive and respond to credit and collection related inquiries in a prompt manner.
· Create and maintain proper response letters.
· Prepare and/or review aging reports and DSO calculations on a regular basis.
· Respond to credit reference inquiries with pertinent credit information in accordance with company procedures.
· Maintain current tax exempt certificates. Request certificates of new customers.
· Provide support to Inventory Control by auditing freight bills and invoicing orders generated within the fulfillment program.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience
· High School Diploma or Equivalent.
· Prior credit and collections experience.
