Credit control Risk Analyst
An exciting opportunity has arisen within a successful Sheffield business their credit control team as a Credit Analyst.
This role offers clear progression to supervisory level with a clear training program given to achieve this.
The right candidate will have excellent relationship building skills, will show great attention to detail and will be someone who is ambitious with the desire to progress. In addition the client requires someone who is studying towards their ICM qualification or who wishes to do so.
Detailed knowledge of assessing credit reports (or equivalent) is required and experience of Excel reporting is a must.

Main Responsibilities
To assist Team Leader and Assistant Credit Services Manager in all aspects of credit management
Assess account applications and increases in accordance with authorisation levels, ensuring full justification is given in each case
To prepare enough information on new account applications and increase requests to ensure credit decisions can be made by the escalation signatories
Have full knowledge of risk categories/criteria to be able to process and accurately assess risk accounts through daily and bad debt monitoring
To be able to request and read credit reports in depth so a more investigative approach is achieved therefore balance sheet assessment capability required
Work as part of a team to ensure KPIs and bonus criteria are met
Create and maintain customer account records, including correctly setting the customer risk category based on set guidelines
Knowledge and understanding of all aspects of in house computer systems, in particular focusing on the credit application function
Be familiar with and understand all aspects of the training and procedure manuals
