Credit Control/Accounts Assistant

My Client, an established firm based originally in Yorkshire have appointed Hays to recruit a Credit Controller and finance administrator to join their newly established finance department based in Bury.

Working alongside the Accounts Manager the role will cover all aspects of Credit Control, along with varied accounting administration such as purchase ledger.

The ideal candidate will have had the majority of their experience within Credit Control as this will be their main focus. With a strong, proven background within this field you shall also have diligence and a good telephone manner.

Role Responsibilities:

· Control the level of debt within the ledger by maximising cash collection from the accounts under your responsibility.
· Daily cash processing
· Aged debt management
· Supplier reconciliation
· Sales ledger management
· Finance admin over Purchase Ledger
· Process all collection calls (inbound and outbound) from customers in an efficient and professional manner

Your Profile

· Minimum 3 years successful Credit Control experience (achieving targets) in a busy business to business environment with a varied background within other accounting areas
· Excel skills
· Highly developed time management, organisation prioritisation skills
· Self-motivated team player with ability to work under own initiative
· Strong interpersonal skills - a conscientious, self-motivated and customer focused person with a positive attitude
