Credit Controller / Collections Clerk

Do you have experience of working within the consumer collections industry?

On a day-to-day basis the credit controller will take fully responsibility for their own ledger of accounts. Duties within the role will include:

Contacting businesses and consumers to follow up on overdue invoices
Working with consumers to agree payment plans to ensure outstanding amounts are collected in a timely manner
Using your excellent customer service skills to resolve any queries or disputes
Ensuring that all calls are correctly recorded on the internal system
Working towards and ideally exceeding cash collection targets
Regular ledger and aged debt reporting

The ideal candidate will have the ability to chase outstanding payments while still being able to provide an excellent level of customer care. You also be able to demonstrate empathy with the customers as some may be in difficult and challenging personal situations.
You will also need a decent level of computer literacy, including Excel (V look ups) as this will be used on a day-to-day basis.
