Credit Controller Job in Cork

Job Title: Credit Controller

Reporting To: Credit Control Supervisor

Location: Cork

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Collecting cash to credit terms and assist in the achievement of quarterly targets
* Minimise 'out of terms' performance by clients
* Account set up credit vetting for new clients and continued monitoring of existing accounts
* Reconciliation of accounts where necessary
* Ensuring overdue transactions are kept to a minimum
* Management of statement requests and copy invoices etc
* Ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction is met
* Accurately and efficiently handling all customer calls emails
* Ensuring personal goals, objectives and both group individual targets are achieved within specified target times
* Logging all customer related information on internal systems
* To liaise with operational/sales to identify and resolve performance/compliance issues effectively, which assist in the timely collection of outstanding accounts and resolution of customer queries
* Attending monthly/quarterly credit control meetings with area and divisional managers
* Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the quality policies of the company
* Take ownership of own client base also have the flexibility to change ledgers
* To attend client meetings when necessary
* Update any relevant reports including own metrics
* Contribute to the updating of any relevant credit control processes
* Management of cash book to include lodgments, daily cash postings and allocations when necessary
* Finding missing payments and applying them to accounts when necessary
* Ad hoc duties as required by the Financial Accountant/Credit Control Supervisor

Skills required:

A minimum of 2/3 years credit and or collections environment would be desirable, but not essential

Have an ability to work as part of a team in a busy environment, and the confidence to work on own initiative target driven

Have strong communication and interpersonal skills

Have good knowledge of administrative and computer software such as MS Office.

Have accurate analytical and numerical skills with good telephone manner a commitment to quality

Assertive but friendly high energy level is key
