Credit Controller Job in Saint Louis 63141, Missouri US

Overview:

Collect cash on a specific ledger achieving DDO and cash targets while maintaining customer satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities:

 

1. Operate all established collection procedures using initiative, imagination and flexibility to achieve targeted expectations/results wile promoting customer goodwill.  2. To make contact with customers regarding all unpaid items following up communications frequently.  3. To anticipate developments and to identify accounts that require special attention and act decisively to resolve difficulties, consulting management where appropriate.  4. To maintain accurate and up to date customer details and account records on Oracle and liaise with GSCS and other departments to ensure account records on other systems are correct.  5. To develop and maintain harmonious and effective working relationships with all customers, departmental colleagues, account managers, country based Customer Liaison Specialists and COMC based Order Management Specialists in the common goal of ensuring timely payment of invoices and resolution of customer queries.  6. Visit customers to resolve problems and promote cooperation.  7. Manage customer dunning and statement process in accordance with standard policy in liaison with CSCS.  8. To obtain sufficient information to assess the creditworthiness of newly proposed and existing customers promptly, efficiently and cost-effectively, using information sources appropriate to the level of exposure and liaising where necessary with colleagues and management.  To ensure that all clients meet the company's requirements regarding the Table of Denials listing. 9. To promote and develop the involvement of the credit control department in sales and marketing activities.  10. To assist with the design and production of reports for management. To assist with special projects as and when required.  11. Deputize for Credit Control Team Leader as required.

Required Skills:

 

Mandatory skills:  assertiveness, consultative, facilitation and meetings managemenet, influencing, presentation skills, negotiation and problem solving skills.  Also required understanding of compliance, security awareness, and service delivery.  Must be focused and results-oriented/achiever.

 

Certifications:

 

Preferable but not mandatory : institute of credit management or an equivalent minimum 2 years in credit control.
