The London operations team consists of 35 people and is trading desk aligned in its structure
The products traded by BlueCrest include the following:
Credit Derivatives, Equity Swaps, Variance Swaps, Energy Derivatives IRS Swaps, FRAs, Swaptions, OTC options, exchange traded futures and options, FX options / forwards / spot, bonds and repos, equities.
The Role – Credit Derivatives Operations Analyst
You will be primarily responsible for investigating and resolving trade breaks in a timely manner. This is achieved by liaising closely with the fund administrator, the Credit Derivatives prime broker, and the BlueCrest Credit Derivatives Trading Desk.
The products covered in this role are CDS + Index, Tranches, Synthetic CDO, Loan CDS, Loans, Equity Derivatives, Bonds/Repos, FX, IRS
- Support of front office for all trading related issues.
- Monitoring trade capture exceptions.
- Completion and review of trade, cash and position breaks.
- Investigating and resolving differences.
- Reviewing trade confirmations.
- Management of relationship with outsourced administration and prime brokerage functions, where the bulk of settlement and reconciliation procedures are performed.
- Adding value to the business by ensuring that it is properly and securely controlled to achieve the very high levels of confidence in the end results demanded by management and investors.
- Allowing for growth of the company in products, volumes, markets and funds under management.
- Project Management.
• Resolving trader position/trade queries.
• Providing position information to traders.
• Reconciliation of positions/trades between internal systems.
Requirements:
• You must have banking experience and have a good understanding of Credit Derivative products.
• You will be able to demonstrate awareness of the problems frequently encountered and how these problems are best resolved
• You may have a Ratings agency background
- Proficiency in Excel is required
IMC qualified, but not a requirement as the candidate can be funded to obtain this qualification.
