Credit / Fixed Income Analyst – Long Only – European Investment Manager
The client runs both a public and a discretionary fund covering (1) Global, (2) Pan Asia, (3) HK / China. Thus, we're looking for a single analyst with about 5 years of buyside experience to cover for these funds and generate fixed income / high yield credit recommendations based on a value investor mindset.
My ideal candidate would have had experience covering Pan Asia (Asia Pacific), Global AND / OR HK / China fixed income / credit products either domestically or globally and has good research / information digging capacity.
Other pertinent requirements include:
- Must come from the buyside - as the way to write, generate securities recommendation may not be easily imparted. So we need someone to pick up from day 1.
- Open to look at sector specific or generalist profiles - would look at Global Fixed Income / Credit, Consumer, Financials / Banks, TMT or Asia Pacific.
- Value Investing, Fundamentally driven research capabilities
- Ability to work with global teams across counterparty or European offices
- Preference for Asian applicants due to some local client base but could consider outstanding international profiles when willing to relocate on their own
The hire is attractive for people who either want to broaden coverage or have a clear progression to move up the ladder for promotions and coverage. Interviews are well underway and will finalize by end September (guaranteed bonuses can be discussed).
