Credit Manager
Elevation Networks (EN) is an award winning youth employment charity that seeks to develop the leadership potential of young people to increase their employability. EN works with young people aged 11-25 specifically focusing on groups that are traditionally underrepresented within the labour market and in certain industries.
EN is a Delivery Partner for Start-Up Loans, a government funded initiative that provides support in the form of business loans together with a business mentor to entrepreneurs. A fantastic opportunity for the right candidate exists in the London office to join the team and help drive the business forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessing the viability of business plans and helping them to reach a high level before assessment.
- Ensuring all required data and information is provided to make informed lending decisions.
- Supporting applicants, and providing group tutorials where needed.
- Meeting weekly targets whilst ensuring overall quality of applications are maintained.
- Constantly reviewing and improving systems that are being used for our Start-Up Loans delivery.
- Undertaking other tasks as directed by the Managing Director.

Knowledge and Experience
- Strong experience of analysing financial data and key performance indicators.
- Well-developed analytical skills including the ability to assimilate complex information and to identify and prioritise key issues.
- Credit assessment experience gained from banking, investment or other industry sector a plus.
- Experience in assessing business plans.
- Proven understanding of commercial business gained through either SME management or experience of running own business.
- Knowledge of key business processes and aspects that affect the success of a business start-up.
- Sound understanding of management accounts, cashflows and their impact on business.
- Strong IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office especially in Excel.
