Credit Officer – FIG (German speaking) recruitment
The team is responsible for assigning internal ratings to a portfolio of European banks, approving and managing credit limits and exposures, trade approvals and analysis of structured transactions.
As the successful candidate you will have:
- Responsibility for a portfolio of banks in Germany and Austria. The role involves counterparty analysis and making recommendations for ratings and credit limits, assessment of counterparty exposure across a broad range of products, and input into legal documentation
- Opportunities to participate in and/or lead due diligence sessions with current and prospective counterparties
- Constant interaction with the various business units and with other support functions (legal, compliance, margin management among others)
- As part of a small team of 14 analysts, a requirement to work closely with other colleagues and provide support to other portfolios when needed
Requirements
- You are currently working as a Credit Officer in a financial institution and have gained a sound understanding of the banking sector and the rating drivers of financial institutions in order to work independently with limited supervision and actively participate in due diligence client visits/meetings
- You’re fluent in German due to the regional coverage of this role
- You have the ability to write clear concise risk analysis to support your decisions and recommendations
- You hold personal credit authority and are comfortable exercising it
- You have gained exposure to and can demonstrate a sound knowledge of derivatives and capital markets products and are able to apply such knowledge to perform independent analysis of more complex trades
- You are a good communicator and have a proven track record in building and maintaining client relationships, both internally and externally.
