Credit Officer – Natural Resources (Utilities Specialist) recruitment
Role Profile:
You will be required to support / and in some cases lead all credit aspects of the portfolio, specifically this would include inter alia:
- Acting as the supporting Credit Officer for a portfolio of names across the Natural Resources space (Utilities, Oil Gas, Reserve Based Lending)
- Coordinate end-to-end credit process for New Business as well as managing all aspects of credit relationship for assigned portfolio
- Responsibilities would include client selection; underwriting, structuring and documentation of new transactions; and active monitoring of risks in the portfolio.
- Mentor/coach Analysts in the Team
- Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with business partners; working proactively to manage the risk-reward equation and optimising client relationships.
- Work in partnership with other departments and product groups to optimize client relationships.
- Participating in ad-hoc projects.
Requirements
- Relevant work experience in banking/finance commensurate with this role, to include credit analysis experience in a leading financial institution
- Strong analytical and credit analysis skills with a Utilities background
- Term sheet / trading documentation negotiation and structuring skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience analysing Regulated Utilities in Europe and some Acquisition Finance transactions is required
- Knowledge of traded products
- Reserve Based Lending and / or Infrastructure or Project Finance / Inflation linked swaps knowledge is an advantage.
- Familiarity with term sheet negotiations/ LMA and market standard docs.
- Additional European language skills are an advantage
