Credit Officer – VP recruitment
Main Duties:
- Maintain the integrity of the portfolio through quality analysis of prospective exposure and proactive monitoring;
- Conduct credit due diligence and analysis, prepare/review country, industry and counterparty credit reviews;
- Sanction proposals using any delegated discretions;
- Present and recommend larger/complex credit proposal to Credit Committees;
- Maintain integrity of credit risk function whilst continuing to fully support Front Office;
- Act as one of main contact points for credit-related issues / discussion, both internally and externally.
- Assist the team in development and mentoring of junior team members;
- Where sector difficulties or client specific difficulties are identified, provide guidance to ensure the appropriate action is taken to mitigate credit risks
Requirements
- Ability to write comprehensive credit proposals, including but not limited to analysing company accoungs, assessing cash flows, modelling cash flow projections, undertaking basic industry comparative studies, assessment of management and making appropriate counterparty and transactional recommendations.
- Thorough understanding of derivatives.
- Knowledge of trading documentation - ISDA / CSA / GMRA etc.
- Sound research skills on industry sector / client-specific pertaining to individual transactions where circumstances warrant (e.g. new industry, environmental considerations, regulatory issues).
- At least 8 years experience in credit risk management in a commercial or investment bank.
