Risk Management for Banking Book / Savings Lending Bank
This exciting new specialist savings and lending mortgage bank, has no has no legacy from the financial crisis, is free of toxic debt, and is enjoying rapid growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interfacing with Risk, Finance, Treasury and Deposit Taking
- Provide Sensitivity analysis, Segmentation / Cohort analysis
- Production of loss and arrears forecasts, loss curves and expectations
- Residual valuation analysis
- Quality Assurance and Quality Control
- Developing and enhancing operational risk register and incident log
- Operational Risk modeling, production of Risk heat maps and KRIs
- Maintenance of policy, procedure and model inventories
- Review model accuracy and adherence to policies
- Understanding loss drivers
- Preparation of reports for executive management
ESSENTIAL SKILLS EXPERIENCE:
- Excellent credit and operational risk knowledge
- Minimum of 3 years’ working in financial services in a business analyst role
- Good understanding of business processes and ability to recommend changes to the business
- Data mining skills, experience of statistical modeling techniques, ability to interrogate large data sets
- Basel II experience desirable
- Degree in maths, science, engineering, business, economics, etc.
- Understanding of business processes
- VBA for Excel and good MS Office
DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES:
- Risk or associated qualifications desirable
- Good understanding of risk related concepts
- Highly numerate with strong analytical skills
- Additional analytical software knowledge a plus
- Strong client facing and influencing skills
- Excellent planning skills
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
- Excellent verbal written communication skills
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Accuracy attention to detail
ADDITIONAL:
- Able to commute reliably to office base
- Able to work extended hours on occasions when required
- Clean or near clean driving licence
