Credit Policy Manager recruitment

Based within the Customer Conduct Team you will have responsibility for the Division's Credit Policy Framework, ensuring it complies with Group requirements, and that a robust Assurance Programme is in place by which our stakeholders can demonstrate compliance

You will be accountable for the implementation and adequacy of the Credit Policy Framework across all Credit Risk, and UK Retail business areas. You will also deal with full implementation and transition of all Credit Risk business areas to full compliance with the Group Policy Framework specifically as regards Credit Risk requirements. This will include responsibility for ensuring that all Credit Risk operational processes / policies and Divisional Credit Policies comply with all relevant Group Policy Standards along with the delivery of a robust assurance programme, ensuring Credit Risk remains compliant with all Group Policy, Legal and Regulatory changes.

You will deal with the design, implementation and ongoing consistent application (effectiveness and adequacy) of a risk based controls framework across all Credit Risk business areas and also in relation to both internal RBSG (Divisional) and external suppliers . You will also ensure these business areas have adequate first line of defence tests in place for key Credit Policies.  

We require you to have ability to plan and organise your own workload and those of others utilising proven management skills. You will have experience of working in close partnership with stakeholders and strong attention to detail with an in-depth knowledge of lending processes, Group Credit Policy and the Legal and Regulatory framework relevant to UK Retail along with an awareness of the marketplace and issues affecting the business, particularly the regulatory environment.
