Credit / Rates Product Controller in Emerging Markets at UBS recruitment
The successful candidate will be an integral member of the Emerging Markets / Collateral Product Control (PC) team based in London. This team controls and support the business with trading activities in US, Eastern Europe, Middle East and North Africa(EM EEMEA) from offices in London, Stamford, Zurich, Russia, Turkey and Israel. The business is split into Collateral, Rates, Credit and Structured products, which you will have an opportunity to support.
Specific role responsibilities:
- Reviewing the Daily pnl pack from the offshore production team
- Delivering the daily pnl to the trading desk
- Understanding your trading desk’s portfolio from a product, risk, accounting and legal entity perspective
- Reviewing and analysing the desk’s balance sheet
- Supporting the desk in analysis of key financials that impact their pnl balance sheet.
- Voicing and delivering Product Control’s requirements on new business initiatives
- Testing new system releases that are being rolled out
- Managing relationships with key stakeholder including: Desk, Market Risk, Credit Risk, Operations, Business managers, Operational Finance.
Training will include on-the-job experience, on-line courses and structured lecture room classes to improve product knowledge, plus taking internal exams.
The applicant will also contribute to on-going improvements in the processes and controls; including driving incremental changes, participating in change delivery (writing specifications, performing testing and providing sign off) and supporting larger system development implementation for Repos globally. The successful candidate will initially be responsible for either the EM EEMEA Credit or Rates trading desks (depending on relevant product experience) and will rotate across product sets over time.
