Credit Relationship Portfolio Management Analyst – Temporary recruitment
CRPM Americas role within global Credit Relationship Portfolio Management (“CRPM”) to support the credit approval and decision making process for Corporate Merchant Bank (“CMB”) clients and counterparts. The analyst will be responsible for drafting and presenting proposals (including internal credit ratings) to credit committee.
Primary Role Definitions:
- Writing detailed credit proposals at the request of the business (CMB) to conform to internal credit policies and standards.
- Responsible for periodic reviews.
- The role demands development of effective partnerships with FIG/CRPM/Credit Committees.
- Refer appropriate queries to FIG/CRPM for their guidance; identify issues and escalate to Management as necessary.
- Provide administrative support for new client set-up, credit approval proposals, line facilitation, hierarchy maintenance, over limit monitoring, workflow monitoring and client/family reviews.
- Maintain data quality level published in multiple reports.
- Manage numerous credit line requests while ensuring quick turnaround and prioritization.
- Pro-actively advise constituents on progress.
Key Business Constituents:
- Credit Relationship Managers, Product Sales Trading desks and their Front Office Support / Back Offices, Financial Institutions Group (FIG).
Qualifications Skill Sets required:
- Pro-active self-starter with ability to work independently within a growing Bank.
- Attention to detail, data analysis (including balance sheet and income statement analysis) and quick and accurate task completion are important qualities in the credit risk function.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with CRPM, Risk Officers, Salespeople, Traders and other Front Office Support colleagues to obtain relevant information to address over limit breaches and submit limit increase proposals where applicable.
- Solid understanding of financial terminology.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to multi-task and prioritize items.
- Ability to resolve issues through conducting research and persistent follow up.
- Familiarity with Pension Funds, Hedge Funds, Banks, Broker Dealers, and other Asset Manager risk assessment.
- Bachelors degree in finance, economics, accounting or similar; successful completion of a formal Bank credit training program a plus.
