Credit Research Analyst
The Fixed Income team is looking for an outstanding credit analyst to focus on one or two non-financial corporate sectors for investment recommendations. The firm has over 110Billion AUM and the Fixed income team has 6 portfolio managers focused on separate markets and assets. You will be working in a team of 4 reporting the Head of Fixed income/Portfolio management where you will be responsible for a sector with High Yield credit. The portfolio manager is looking for someone who is exceedingly good and has been number one ranked throughout their career.
Responsibilities
- Provide both current and forward-looking assessments of the fundamental credit quality of European HY non-financial corporate bond issuers and a specific industry sector.
- Provide investment recommendations on individual European high yield securities in both primary and secondary markets based on a blend of fundamental, technical, and macro-based relative value considerations.
- Performing business and financial company analysis, covenant and capital structure analysis.
- Conduct cash flow modelling and projections, recovery analysis, tracking industry and company trends.
- Construct spread forecasts and relative value analysis.
- Involved in the strategic asset allocation to credit as an asset class as part of the macro top down allocation.
- Contribute to the European HY team's investment process by providing bottom-up and top-down views on the European HY market.
Background :
Must have solid experience as a high yield credit research analyst covering one or more non-financial corporate sectors.
Previous work at a buy or sell-side institution or possibly a ratings agency.
CFA and/or MBA designation preferred.
Degree from a top institution.
