The Credit Restructuring and Advisory Group (CRAG) manages portfolios of the bank's impaired, deteriorating, or legacy assets.
Main Function
Assist Barclays asset managers in managing a diverse portfolio of impaired, deteriorating or legacy assets originating both in U.S. and Latin America in order to maximize recovery for the firm. Manage and maintain economic models of the collateral performance and notify management of any material changes in the performance of the collateral as they occur.
Main Duties
Specific responsibilities include:
- Experience in commercial real estate and corporate financial analysis a plus.
- Gathering, analysis, interpretation and presentation of data that describes asset level performance of various distressed credits managed by the group.
- Assisting in the preparation of Watchlist and Impairment Committee reports.
- Prepare other periodic reports for presentation to management, audit and other internal groups.
- Analysis involves identifying, interpreting, and making recommendations on how to move forward with financial data, building and maintaining deal models and presentation to others in the team and other business areas within the firm.
- Participation in discussions on strategy and implantation or asset strategy with peers and senior management.
- Work closely with team to prepare deal level analysis and recommendations to senior management and other business areas.
- Engaging with stakeholders across multiple business areas and regions to support the team's work
Person Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Must have 2+ years of experience with Excel
Preferred Qualifications/Candidate Profile:
- Results-oriented and highly motivated
- Attention to detail, good problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on approach required
- Strong communication and written skills
