Credit Restructuring and Advisory
Main Function
The successful candidate will have experience in restructurings and workouts in either a financial institution, advisory firm, or other comparable institution.
The candidate will be responsible for assisting senior team members with restructuring/recovery efforts on assigned cases. More specifically, the AVP/VP will support senior members of the team in managing a diverse portfolio of impaired, deteriorating or legacy assets originating across EMEA in order to maximize recovery for the bank.
Further, the role is within the credit risk function so the candidate will also have responsibilities commensurate with a credit officer, including writing of credit and committee papers and maintaining appropriate information in credit risk systems.
Main Duties
- Together with senior team members, negotiating with all related parties / stakeholders and taking roles on creditor / bank committees to achieve maximum recovery.
- Preparing and presenting Watchlist and Impairment Committee reports.
- Preparing other periodic reports for presentation to management, audit and other internal groups.
- Working closely with team to prepare deal level analysis and recommendations to senior management and other business areas.
Person Requirements
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent.
- 2+ years of prior experience in a financial institution, Big 4 accounting firm or financial advisor focused on restructuring and/or workout.
- 4+ years overall experience
Preferred Requirements:
- Master's or comparable degree in finance or accounting.
- Big 4 restructuring group experience a plus.
- Strong background in accounting, valuation and financial modelling.
- Possess a high degree of self-motivation and energy, the ability to drive for results, and track record of setting and achieving goals and meeting schedules.
- Possess the presence, maturity, and credibility to present effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
- Possess strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, and have the ability to clearly articulate complex concepts and ideas.
- Attention to detail with a high level of strategic vision.
- Team player.
Expertise in all Microsoft Office applications and applications relating to financial and credit analysis
