Credit Risk Analyst
Job Purpose:
The Credit Risk Analyst role sits within the Credit Fraud Risk Management function which, in view of strategic growth plans, is undergoing a period of change.
It is a potentially varied role, and one that offers scope for the individual's personal development. The candidate would be expected to be proactive and, as well as managing day-to-day workloads, have the vision to propose and help implement changes.
The role is supportive of the Credit Officers, performing credit conformance checks which translate lending decisions into transactions (customer documentation and onto the bank's systems for drawdown and monitoring purposes).
As the team is a relatively small one, the successful candidate would be expected to learn and provide cover for other relevant roles such as management information and reporting.
Job Background/context:
Positioned between Consumer/Retail banking and Private Banking, Citi's International Personal Bank provides banking and investment opportunities to an affluent client base whose needs are typically not met by their domestic consumer bank, yet who have insufficient investable assets to qualify for premium Private Banking services.
The IPB EMEA Credit Team is responsible for the business' collateralised credit portfolio. Credit is one of the strategic growth areas targeted for its London, Jersey (and planned Geneva) booking locations.
The team covers activities such as credit sanctioning and related administration, credit policies and procedures, collateral evaluation, exposure monitoring and MIS
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist credit underwriters with credit requests, conformance checks, pre-screening and RM liaison
- Preparation and issuance of certain credit facility documents
- Maintenance of credit records, management of documentation deficiencies
- Liaising with Operations to ensure timely and accurate set up of facilities on the bank's systems
- Exposure and collateral monitoring, liaising with Front Office and monitoring shortfall resolutions
- Assist and provide cover for MIS and reporting function

Skills
Knowledge/Experience:
- Strong experience in a financial services organisation serving private and/or retail clients
- Related experience in a credit risk/collateral management role
- Good understanding of collateral arrangements
- An active interest in financial markets

Qualifications:
