Business Overview:

The Commercial Risk organization is responsible for the independent risk management of Citi's Local Commercial Bank (LCB) business organization. The LCB business exists in more than 30 countries and represents a market segment covering commercial customers generally with sales up to $500MM. The global portfolio is approximately $60 billion.

Summary:

The position will work with and support the Global Commercial Risk Policy Director in all aspects of risk policy development and administration. The position will provide a broad experience for the individual and involve writing, updating and interpreting policies, management and tracking of credit programs and policy exceptions, assist in preparation of presentations and attendance at meetings whenever possible. The analyst will have contact with all levels of Citi's Risk Management and with Commercial Risk and Business officers around the globe. The candidate should have an interest in the challenges associated with overseeing a global business and the development and implementation of commercial risk policy.

Responsibilities:

This position uses analytical, credit and communication skills. The individual will be given substantial responsibility as they support the Global Commercial Risk Policy Director in all aspects of the position, including:

-Policy writing, implementation, communication and interpretation

-Review of exceptions to risk policy for consideration

-Credit Program review and tracking

-Support management, review and analysis of Global Commercial Risk expenses and headcount

-Prepare presentations for senior management and other audiences

-Participate in regular portfolio reviews and other risk oversight activities

-Support the Global Risk Oversight office RCSA process

-Communication with all levels of Citi's Risk Management around the globe

Skills

Qualifications:

-BS or BA in related field

-5 - 8 years Risk Management experience

-Formal Commercial Credit Training w/ delegated authority and credit approval experience required

-Strong knowledge of Citigroup credit policies and procedures

-Proficient in MS Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint

-Good knowledge of Accounting Financial Reporting

-Good knowledge of credit and banking products

-Commercial Senior Credit Officer potential

-Detail oriented, able to work independently and to prioritize workload

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills - ability to communicate concisely and clearly

-Strong Interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment and eagerness to learn

-Energetic, responsive team player willing to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment
