Description
After a hugely profitable 6 months one of Europe’s largest and most successful commodities houses is looking for a senior credit risk analyst to work with traders on monitoring the ‘real time’ risk of trades in the front office. The role is situated in a hugely expanding team, which has seen itself out perform all its competitors within the space. The role offers huge amounts of exposure across the front, middle and back office and regular facing with traders and senior management.
The Role
- Perform financial and credit assessment of trading counterparties
- Seek approval for new and revised credit limits and risk mitigation
- Analyse trading data from front office
- Monitor counterparty credit risk for the commodity trading business and proactively identify and recommend to traders the mitigating action when required
- Direct interaction with external counterparties to negotiate commodity trading contracts
Ideal Candidate
- Strong educational background (2.1 or higher in a Science, Engineering or Analytical Subject)
- Detail oriented and literal thinking candidates with strong numerical skills
- Experience within the commodities market (3+ years)
- Excellent knowledge of European commodities markets
- Strong analytical and communicative skills
- Motivated and driven individuals
