Credit Risk Analyst, Funds Sector
Front office Credit Analyst role within a specialist division of this reputable global commercial bank, focussed upon lending through to the investment management industry in Europe. The London based team originates and executes new lending transactions as well as portfolio management of existing deals. Clients are predominantly listed funds managed by large institutional asset managers or unlisted private equity and infrastructure funds.
The overall purpose of the role is to analyse credit risk and prepare credit proposals, undertaking all client due diligence. This will involve conducting research in support of new transactions, and will require an understanding of pricing and the barriers to achieving sufficient returns. More importantly the role offers scope as the incumbent will be involved in a variety of other tasks such as adherence to Compliance and the preparation of reports for the business unit and central Risk Management.
Candidates need to have credit and balance sheet analysis experience with exposure to the investment/asset management sector, gained either within a bank that lends to that sector or within the sector itself. The client would also prefer that candidates be FSA qualified.
