Credit Risk Analyst recruitment

Assume shared responsibility for a portfolio of financial institutions based in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and/or the Commonwealth of Independent States
• Perform fundamental credit risk analysis and assign internal credit ratings on the portfolio
• Monitor market, regulatory, macro economic and political developments and assess their impact on the credit quality of counterparties
• Maintain strong and pro-active relationships with other departments, esp. Trading Sales, Legal and Compliance, Market Risk Management and Operations
• Perform on-going monitoring of complex deals so that any early signs of distress or deviation from the expected performance are promptly identified
• Liaise with Credit Risk Control and Risk Analytics and Reporting departments to ensure that the exposures are adequately reflected in the risk systems  
• Perform general problem solving of any issues arising across Credit Suisse in relation to counterparties in the portfolio
• Communicate the results of analysis performed in written reports
• Prepare written summaries for corporate credit transactions

Responsibilities will evolve to include the following:

• Analyse, structure and approve transactions within existing limits or delegated credit authority
• Make credit risk decisions within assigned credit authority
• Liaise with Legal department to ensure identified risks are adequately addressed in the legal documentation for structured transactions and to set credit terms in the legal documentation (e.g. ISDA and CSA) for flow trading activity
• Working closely with the Front Office deal structuring teams, assess proposed transactions within the context of the transaction structure to ensure structural risks are properly identified and adequately mitigated Divisional/Departmental Overview The mission of Credit Risk Management (CRM) is to manage overall credit risk consistent with the bank’s credit appetite, policies, and business objectives. CRM has approximately 141 professionals supporting the IB business across all the major Credit Suisse locations, including New York, London, Zurich, Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo.

The Department's key roles and responsibilities are:

• Developing and administering credit policies and procedures
• Monitoring counterparty exposures and performances
• Managing exposures, including country exposure and impaired assets
• Working in partnership with the business divisions to facilitate and approve transactions
• Assigning credit ratings and limits Qualifications TO QUALIFY, YOU MUST POSSESS:

Education:
Essential: Relevant university degree
Desirable: Finance related second degree, MBA or professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM, ACA, or ACCA
