Credit Risk Analyst recruitment
Responsibilities:
- Research and analysis of institutional and sovereign risk, credit ratings issued by rating agencies, financial modeling and knowledge of the banking systems as well as the economic and political development of the relevant markets
- Conduct credit risk assessments, determine and monitor risk exposure of new and existing clients based on analysis of financial statement including balance sheet structures and strategies, loan portfolios, off-balance sheet transactions, treasury strategies, and liquidity management
- Diligently monitor all assigned clients’ exposure to ensure collateral shortfalls are highlighted and rectified in a timely manner
- Actively engage and work closely with both internal and external Senior Executives/Management to develop strategies that support business growth while addressing risk concerns
- Responsible for preparing the credit risk rating reports and assign the appropriate credit rating to the clients
- Participate in the development of global credit policy and procedure to ensure that best practices are followed. You may be required to propose exceptions to the policy where necessary for special circumstances
- Prepare senior management reports/presentations
- Minimal travelling is required
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in analyzing banks/non-bank financial institutions counter-party credit risk or corporate credit risk
- Good Bachelor degree preferably Accounting, Finance, Economics or Engineering. Degree in other fields will be considered
- Essential to have strong experience in dealing with Financial Institutions such as Banks and large tier Corporate counterparties
- Good knowledge in database management tools, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Access)
- Proficient in both written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin is a must. Ability to communicate in an additional Asian language will be a plus
