Credit Risk Analyst – SAS / SQL
Job Title: Credit Risk Analyst
Location: Swindon
Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 + Bonus Benefits
Working within the Strategy team you will develop and maintain best in class risk based strategies.
The key responsibilities of these roles are to:
- Carry out data analysis to assess the performance of credit strategies and the portfolio, highlighting issues and providing recommendations for the enhancement of existing strategies.
- Develop credit risk strategies, including the use of "champion/ challenger" methodologies using a combination of application, behavioural and collections systems, risk management tools and software.
- Develop and monitor application and behavioural scorecards.
- Ongoing communication and liaison between Retail Credit Risk and relevant business areas.
To be successful you will need to demonstrate that you have a mix of strong business, people and technical skills and you will also demonstrate the following qualities:
- A good degree in a numerate discipline of equivalent.
- Extensive experience in a retail credit risk environment, including 2+ years practical experience working with Unsecured Portfolios.
- Strong communication skills, with proven ability to communicate effectively.
- Significant knowledge and practical use of Excel and SAS.
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills.
