Credit Risk Analytics Manager recruitment

This includes Credit Limit Excess Management, Pre-Deal Clearance, Credit Crisis Alerts for the Traded Products portfolio and regular Report and MIS on Excess Management for the Senior Management Team.

Candidate will require a flexible approach to work. Reported excesses and call volumes will vary day-to-day. Individuals must have the capacity to cope with spikes in call activity and prioritise workload accordingly. The candidate will need to be assertive and have excellent verbal communication skills.
The candidate will be expected to obtain knowledge as to how traded products are risked through understanding how to use available tools (e.g. Eagle Reporter and PDC) and the underlying Credit Risk methodology.

Responsibilities include:
-Investigating Credit Limit breaches arising from trading activities for Derivative Products.
-Coverage is across various asset classes (e.g. Interest Rate, Credit, Equity, Commodity
Derivatives)
-Managing urgent calls from Front Office to pre-clear live trades, again across various asset classes
-Extensive liaison with Front Office, Operations, Legal, and Structured Products for risking queries, and Credit Risk Analytics for methodology queries

Regular MIS is provided to the Senior Management Team and presented at the monthly Credit Risk Governance Committee. This role will assume responsibility for this process, requiring the individual to liaise extensively with colleagues globally, and to be accountable to members of the Senior Management Team for the content.

Person Requirements:
Strong experience dealing with Traded Products ideally from a Credit Risk Management point-of-view.
Graduate or equivalent in a business or science related subject.
Preferable Masters Level or additional finance qualification.
Good, broad Traded Product knowledge.
An understanding of terminology and economics of trades as well as understanding of E2E trade capture. and processing, preferably from a Credit Risk perspective but not essential.
Experience with trade booking systems and/or Credit Risk Management systems.
Understanding of credit risk concepts.
Good broad knowledge of financial markets.
Excellent MS Excel skills, ideally proficient with VBA.
Highly numerate with strong analytical / problem solving abilities.
Excellent verbal written communication skills.
