Credit Risk and Regulatory Change Senior Business Analyst – Contract – Up to £625 per day recruitment
The Credit Risk and Regulatory Change focussed Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for the development and the maintenance of new/strategic and existing systems which are used by Credit Risk Business, Treasury, Legal Management and Legal Negotiator users.
Key Responsibilities
• To deliver business analysis and risk requirements for the project team for the configuration, build, interface and real-time limit checking, regulatory compliance (Basel II / III) and risk reporting from MLC and Summit.
• Configure, plan, test and implement regulatory counterparty credit risk rules, data exception reports, reporting requirements based on credit policy, excess reporting, capital stress testing and credit limit checking to support new business initiatives.
• Liaise closely with various stakeholders across Front Office, Risk, IT and Third Party vendors to support the growth plans.
• Represent Risk Infrastructure at project working groups as subject matter expert and contributing to the testing of deliverables to ensure business continuity, defining test entry / test exit criteria and managing User Acceptance and Regression Test cycles, liaising closely with other functional areas and vendors to provide solutions ensuring all issues are tracked on Quality Centre, provide project steering committee updates and issue escalation to senior management.
• Responsibility for documentation of test results and process/procedural documentation to enable effective training and handover to the Risk Management team in compliance with Group Internal Audit and Sarbanes–Oxley requirements.
Experience Required
• At least a 2.1 degree, preferably in a mathematical discipline.
• A minimum of 2-4 years experience in risk management with preference to credit risk analytics and project business analysis role gained within an Investment Bank
• Experience of Summit, Murex, MLC or Sungard-Adaptiv advantageous.
• Advanced in Excel Access, a good understanding of interfaces and programming.
Skills Required
• Strong knowledge of Credit Risk of OTC Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income, Money Market, Repos other Exotic product types
• Proven knowledge of pricing and risk management.
• Self/Work Organisation skills.
• Good Project Management skills and excellent oral written communication.
• Ability to provide Risk assessments and vendor management skills advantageous.
