This premier global bank has an exciting growth plan and significant regional presence. It is seeking a strong Credit Risk Approver for its Corporate Banking business.
Reporting to the Senior Credit Officer, you will assist in overall credit risk approval and portfolio management for Singapore business. Specific responsibilities include –
• Portfolio Management - Together with the business and the Senior Credit Officer, you will manage the loan portfolio and bad debt forecast, ensure the robustness of process, and monitor compliance with credit policy and business strategy
• Credit Risk Approval / Risk Management - Provide guidance to business units on the preparation of quality credit applications, approve credit applications within delegated credit authority, understand borrower's strategic priorities, opportunities, risks and requirement through regular customer contact (including client onsite visits) with the business, and monitor quality of portfolio with proactive response to various external factors and conduct stress testing and portfolio reviews where appropriate
• Credit Monitoring and Control - Review past due and excesses on regular basis to ensure that appropriate and timely actions are undertaken by the business and identify possible streamlining to enhance the effectiveness of the credit monitoring and control process
Degree qualified, you will have at least 8 -10 years of banking and relevant credit experience. With strong communication skills, you will have strong knowledge of Singapore corporates, are analytical and commercial in your approach.
