Main Function

Within Credit Risk, the Capital Reporting team is responsible for providing commentary and analysis for counterparty RWA movements for the Bank's trading book exposure. The team is involved in data clean up, analysis and resolution of data integrity/upstream booking or data issues that lead to in accurate RWAs reported. The team liaises with a wide variety of areas in the bank and assists with investigations of other exceptions related to trade processing, collateral and netting issues. Due to ongoing Capital constraints, RWAs continue to be a focus for the firm and therefore there is a need to have additional dedicated resources in New York to assist in reporting tasks as well as field questions from Front Office and other Infrastructure areas on RWA related queries. With Barclays moving into a Basel III frame work, the additional resources will assist in the implementation efforts such as parallel reporting of BII/BIII methodology, i.e. expected exposure/stressed EE for CVA calculations.

Main Duties

The candidate will assist with the reporting and analysis of BII RWAs for the Trading Book as well as BIII initiatives for 2012. They will be regionally focused on BII RWAs generated in BCI or by specific US relationships. Main duties will include: ·

The candidate will be expected to provide commentary on counterparty RWA movements and the main drivers behind the moves to Senior Management and externally to Regulators as necessary. The candidate will also be involved in data clean up, analysis and resolution of data integrity/upstream booking or data issues that lead to inaccurate RWAs being reported. They will liaise with a wide variety of areas in the bank and assist with the investigation of other exceptions related to trade processing, collateral and netting issues. The candidate will provide input into the Risk NPSO process to ensure the calculation of Trading Book RWAs is considered when signing off a new product. The candidate will be required to respond to various ad-hoc requests as they come into the Capital Reporting team and may take on other responsibilities as dictated by business need. The candidate will also assist in the implementation of the BIII framework due first quarter 2013. *LI
