Credit Risk Business Analyst recruitment

 The Credit Risk workstream is delivering strategic business and technical architecture to support the bank’s internal Credit Risk and external Regulatory Reporting in addition to a suite of analytical capabilities.

The purpose of the role is to provide business process re-engineering analysis in defining the target operating model for Credit Risk across the bank.

The work is being performed in parallel with the Finance Transformation within the bank and there are multiple touch-points with Finance and Treasury across the programme.

General Deliverables:

• Assist the top down definition / re-engineering of business process levels 1-7 for the Risk target operating model across Credit Risk.
• Development and maintenance of effective relationships with stakeholders. across the programme, Group and Divisions
• Working with other workstreams and other programme teams to ensure that analysis is performed in accordance with the set dates in the plan.
• Working with multiple consultancies and Technology Services in order to deliver required changes
• Identifying and capturing risks, issues and dependencies related to the Programme(s)
.

Measures of success:

• Achievement of deliverables within required timescales, to agreed scope, budget and quality standard.
• Maintain programmes reputation with key business clients
• Ensure collaborative working with other workstreams within the programme
General Skills/Experience:

• Working business knowledge of Credit Risk metrics, reporting and analysis.
• Detailed understanding of Basel II calculations, inputs and metrics.
• Detailed understanding of FSA BIPRU requirements, covering all exposure types under STD and IRB rules.
• Business process design / re-engineering experience gained within a credit risk environment
• Experience of risk transformation (IT Business)
• Experience of systems project lifecycle
• A broad understanding of banking products, including retail, corporate and financial markets products
• Experience of producing high quality work to tight deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to understand complex issues and track them to resolution
• Proven stakeholder management skills
• Ability to quickly develop an understanding in complex systems and processes
• Ability to plan and organise own workload.
• Handle multiple and varied tasks simultaneously in an organised manner, while still achieving milestones and meeting targets.
• Work well as part of a team, sharing ideas and showing a willingness to learn.
• Some Project Management skills would be helpful (even though this is not a Management role)

Specific Mandatory Skills:

Given that these are high profile roles, with significant business stakeholder interaction and demanding timelines, the following competencies must all be demonstrated in a multi-year and multi-end-client capacity

• Extensive Credit Risk domain experience
• Extensive experience in working with both senior business stakeholders (to communicate key messages) and their teams (to elaborate on detail). Ability to operate both at high level and detail in both general communication and documentation
• Demonstrate having worked in both business and IT functions within a wholesale banking environment.
