Your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
- Graduate
- Post graduate and/or professional qualification would be an advantage
- Understanding of risk management department (organisation/function) preferable
- Self starter with ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, project manage their completion, and deliver under tight timelines, proven persistence
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to discuss and present topics with senior level managers
- Relevant financial analysis and risk management experience
- Relevant counterparty and sovereign credit risk analsysis experience in the European time zone Emerging Markets
- Financial analysis, knowledge of banking products
- Knowledge of Russian language
Your main responsibilities will involve:
- Perform fundamental credit risk analysis of corporate counterparties in European Emerging Markets to assess default probability and determine credit risk appetite; assign credit ratings and set credit limits.
- Build and maintain understanding of industry and macroeconomic rends in the countries of operations through monitoring news flow, internal and external research publications;
- Working closely with the Front Office deal structuring teams, assess proposed transactions within the context of the transaction structure to ensure structural risks are properly identified and adequately mitigated.
- Liaise with Legal department to ensure identified risks are adequately addressed in the legal documentation for structured transactions and to set credit terms in the legal documentation (eg. ISDA and CSA) for flow trading activity.
- Conduct regular and transaction related on-site client due-diligence visits
- Liaise with Credit Risk Department of Credit Suisse Private Bank on joint Investment and Private banking transactions
- Document flow and structured transaction approvals in the credit risk system including details around rationale, risk assessment, mitigating factors and key issues; ensure effective and timely excess management
- Perform on-going monitoring of complex deals so that any early signs of distress or deviation from the expected performance are promptly identified
- Liaise with Credit Risk Control and Risk Measurement and Management departments to ensure that the exposures are adequately reflected in the risk systems
