Credit Risk Reporting Analyst recruitment
The team is primarily responsible for the scope, quality, and management relevance of counterparty credit risk information arising from UBS IB’s corporate and institutional lending and trading activities. The team works closely with the methodologies used in the measurement, modelling and aggregation of counterparty credit risk for both internal and external (e.g. regulatory) purposes.
The primary role of the Risk Analyst is to produce reports to a high standard, supplemented with appropriate analysis of key concentrations and trends.
- Data analysis, developing/prototyping and producing reports on an agreed periodic (daily/weekly/monthly) basis using desktop applications
- Assisting with database analysis and report design/specification work leading to the development of robust solutions by the IT development group (Risk-IT)
- Significant project involvement that involves meeting with project managers and broader Risk Control / business user community to synthesise/prioritise requirements, meeting with change teams to specify development needs, follow up on progress and user acceptance testing of change requests
- The reporting analyst will also work with risk officers and associates to define requirements and provide business context to data analysis
Requirements
- University graduate (mathematics, statistics, economics or business/finance) or equivalent
- Ideally Risk Control experience, although accounting may be considered
- Ability to integrate into a small global team
- Excellent numeric and analytical skills and good communication skills both written and verbal are a pre-requisite
- Self-motivated, flexible, independent personality who is interested in the risk aspects of the Bank's activities
- Good knowledge of MS Excel is essential, knowledge of database applications such as MS Access and Business Objects is desirable but not a pre-requisite
- Genuine interest in risk management, the use and application of technology and an attention to detail are also important qualities
