Credit Specialist recruitment

A leading wealth manager has opened up a new exciting vacancy for a Credit Specialist. You will be responsible Document Receipt Management, Document Validation, Internal and External liaison with clients, Safe to Lend checks, Conditions Precedent Execution, Exception Management, Complex Issue Resolution, Setup Facility, Book Collateral, Mark Limits, Sign off for complex deals, Governance of Control and Risk, and Change Support. You will also be responsible for training, coaching and providing assistance to more junior members of the team. You will need to possess good communication skills and implementing credit decisions.

Role/Responsibilities:

- Strong background in Credit/Lending. Understanding the credit process and be able to resolve issues and complete complex lending to the client's requirements as well as having a clear understanding of the importance of risk and governance policies.

- Preparation of facility and security documentation in accordance with credit sanction terms and ensuring all post sanction covenants are met before instigating drawdown of the loan facility.

- Support the Credit Operations leadership team in strategic change setting standards, focus and pace to meet and exceed agreed Service Level Agreements on a daily basis.

- Commitment and focus on succeeding in a challenging environment adhering to agreed service levels and productivity targets and will be able to work accurately to deadlines and be committed to proactively seeking new innovative customer focused solutions.

- Identify trends and weaknesses that require procedural change or training and ensure procedures are documented, up to date and followed at all times.

Skills

- Educated to a minimum of degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline

- Knowledge ofUKmortgages

- Substantial experience within credit risk as a Credit Officer with Private Banking / Wealth Management

- Knowledge of working in a similar role with a focus on mortgage lending

- Excellent technical credit sanctioning skills, along with business awareness and specific industry awareness.

- Knowledge of credit policies, pricing and strategies relative to the credit function and also credit related product knowledge.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and be able to interact effectively with all levels of the business

- The ability to drive performance to an effective level using their depth of experience, knowledge and variety of coaching methods and techniques.
