The Team
Retail Banking Services (RBS) Risk Management designs, develops, implements and continually reviews Decisioning Solutions, Policies and Procedures and provides Operational Risk and Compliance advice to manage Business Risk for the Retail Bank.
The Credit Variation team within Credit Decisioning is responsible for delivering the following:
- Accurate assessment of security variations within PCAA
- Obtaining sign off from relevant PCAA holders for applications where losses are identified
- Accurately maintaining records
The Role
Reporting to the Team Manager Credit Services, this role will see you responsible for the assessment and final decisions for secured and unsecured Consumer Credit referrals. These will be received via the Proprietary and/or Third Party Channel.
Main Duties
- Ensure you understand the contributions to the business and profit, ensuring quality and responsible credit risk decisions are made in a consistent manner in line with the strategic direction of the organisation
- Ensure compliance within delegated authorities and internal and external compliance / audit requirements which may include adherence to government/governing body legislative policies
- Adherence to the guidelines established within your personal PCAA delegation.
- Ensure policy, systems, tools and procedures are in line with RBS Risk Management expectations, thereby ensuring optimal execution of credit risk management strategies and adherence to credit competency guidelines.
Experience Require
- PCAA to decision credit applications
- Strong oral/verbal and written communication skills
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills
- Expertise in problem solving and resolution
- Good understanding of the Group Credit Risk Management and Authorities Framework and Credit management policies and practices and its implications to the Bank
- A demonstrated commitment to delivering excellence in customer service
- A focused level of commercial acumen
- A high level of personal integrity and a strong commitment to the National Privacy Principles and the Bank's confidentiality policies
- You must be results driven, goal orientated with a flexible and adaptable approach
