Main Duties
- Support Budget and Forecast process for CRES Americas (£200m), ensuring appropriate substantiation and accuracy
- Provide reporting to management teams regarding headcount and costs, consolidating CRES costs for various Barclays entities in the Americas
- Meet with clients to understand key variances, opportunities and risks
- Manage team of 2 and mentor, develop and drive to exceed expectation
- Oversee capital project initiatives, including accounting treatment and sign-off of project estimates for Senior Management approval
- Support clients in build of business drivers for Run the Bank activities
- Ensure month end PL is accurate and B/S position in relation to accruals is substantiated and understood, including but not limited to assets under construction and lease provision balances
- Modeling of leasing deals (renewals, expansions, subleases)
- Drive efficiency and control through ongoing process improvements
- Legal entity awareness regarding cost for the US region
- Work closely with global finance partners in EMEA and APAC
Person Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent
- 7+ years of experience within the Financial Services industry
- 5+ years MS Excel experience with focus on pivot tables and lookups
- 5+ years SAP R3/BW experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Self starter who has the ability to interact and partner with clients
- Ability to interact and partner with multiple overseas locations
- Real estate accounting policy knowledge preferable
