Katherine Women’s Crisis Centre provides supported accommodation to women and children experiencing Domestic/Family Violence and or crisis.
Katherine Women’s Crisis Centre has set up a new Safe House for women and children in Gunbalanya. Gunbalanya is a remote community in Arnhem Land 330klms east of Darwin. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team who has proven ability in building and maintaining strong relationships within the community as well as supporting, mentoring and leading a team of local workers.
We need someone who:
- Has experience working with Domestic/Family Violence.
- Qualifi cations in Social Work or Community Services, Community Development work or relevant fi eld.
- Has experience Coordinating and/or leading a team of workers in the community services.
- Can work collaboratively with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Is committed to women’s issues and gender equity.
- Has experience working with Indigenous Australians.
- Has manual Drivers licence.
Salary range negotiable – Salary packaging options, 6 weeks annual leave. Initial contract for 6 months with the possibility of renewal.
The successful applicant will be required to undergo Police Clearance and obtain a Working With Children Check for the Northern Territory (Ochre Card).
