Cross Asset Solutions – Junior Analyst recruitment
It addresses the needs of distributors, offering bespoke services to support then in the design, marketing and after-sale service of their products. It also serves institutional investors with their asset liability management, capital protection, hedging or the optimization of their overall return. MARK/SOL capitalizes on an integrated engineering team to deliver cross asset expertise and better manage trading risk.
- The candidate will be part of the COO office. The COO Office is responsible for supporting business line Heads and facilitating business activity, acting as a contact point for queries relating to support and control from the business group and controlling and supervising the activity of the group.
- The scope of the function covers the whole MARK/SOL London platform, with a focus on sales activities.
- The position is based in SG Investment Banking Branch in London.
Main responsibilities
The position consists of assisting the local COO on the following main tasks:
- Producing Following up dashboards (on-boarding of clients, HR, PnL, expenses,…) and following up all the IT issues of the staff;
- Preparing one-off presentations for the management;
- Sponsoring projects meant to address gaps in our organization, processes or systems, in relation with Sales and Trading Governance issues. The main project to be followed will be the European On-boarding project with sales managers;
- Designing and implementing the relevant controls on the Front Office side
In addition to the tasks previously mentioned the candidate will be involved in sales support activities marketing
This experience will enable the candidate to gain:
- Overall understanding of the various functions within financial markets (sales, structuring, pricing, marketing, risk, operations)
- Gradual experience in understanding clients needs and behaviours
- Knowledge of structured solutions (equity and fixed income)

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education
- Business School or Engineer School or University
Past experience
- Previous training in investment banking environment not a pre-requisite
Languages
- Fluent English
- French is a plus
Technical skills
- Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of Business Object and VBA is a plus
