Our Americas Distribution group, located in Stamford, CT, is seeking to hire a Cross Channel Sales Director to join our team.
Key Responsibilities Duties Include, but not Limited to:
- Responsible for driving relationships to increase Legg Mason gross and net sales as well as improving asset retention within IAD and NBD firms in regions outsid of the major metropolitan areas.
- Via phone, in-person, and electronic communication cultivate and manage relationships with financial advisors by offering sales ideas, market intelligence, product information and updates, as well as other forms of support.
- Act as one's own internal wholesaler by scheduling appointments, high level of proactive calls on a daily basis, and supporting and developing new and existing relationships.
- High usage of CRM system to successfully execute a business plan to foster new relationships while providing world class customer service to drive sales within assigned territory.
Ideal Qualifications Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 5+ years of sales experience within a financial services firm
- Must have demonstrated success selling over the phone with a strong call structure and an organized sales process
- Outstanding communication, organizational, presentation skills
- Extensive investment product knowledge and understanding of financial concepts with the ability to articulate a variety of investment topics ranging from fundamental asset classes to alternative investments
- Excellent listening skills as well as the ability to identify opportunities and suggest creative solutions
- CRM experience strongly desired
- Enthusiastic team player and self starter with ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced sales environment
- Strong customer relationship management and servicing skills as well as internal corporate relationship management capabilities
- FINRA Series 7 63 required
- Approximately one week a month travel required
