Cross Industry Solution Representative – Lotus Brand Specialist

As the Solution Representative - Brand Specialist, you will be responsible for developing Brand/product-specific solutions that address your client's business needs (both industry and business) and deliver client value while supporting brand-specific business strategies. You will work to create solutions which are tailored to client's business needs and integrate the IBM/brand capabilities in a way that is valued by the customer and superior to the competition. In this role, is it essential that you are able to apply industry-specific knowledge and experience to bring new business and technology insights to assigned clients.
Further responsibilities include:
Manage an open territory to drive new sales and expand existing business
Provide sales leadership
Move sales opportunities to closure
Work with other sellers and units of IBM as needed to create an effective solution for the client
Maintain a thorough understanding of the client's industry, including industry trends, industry business processes, industry financial measurements and performance indicators, and key client competitors in their industry. This role supports Cross Industry clients
Requirements:
At least 3-5 years of business to business sales and/or pre sales experience
Some executive-level selling experience
Consultative selling capability
Ability to provide insight to business leaders in the multiple industries including Banking, Retail, Consumer Products, Healthcare and/or Life Sciences
An outstanding ability to understand business problems and articulate a corresponding solution based on IBM software
Understanding of competitive technologies and their place in the market
Readiness to travel at least 25%
Required
- At least 3 years experience in Sales
- Readiness to travel 25% travel annually
- English: Fluent
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 5 years experience in Sales
- At least 3 years experience in Working in or selling Collaboration software
- At least 3 years experience in Working in or selling Web Experience software
- At least 2 years experience in Selling into one or more of the following industries: Banking, Retail, Consumer Products, Healthcare and/or Life Sciences
