Cross Sector Fund of Funds Senior Analyst – LEADING ORGANISATION – Hong Kong recruitment

The successful candidate will be reporting to a team of two Portfolio Managers. There is a fantastic opportunity for a career progression into a Junior Portfolio Manager for the successful candidate.  The role requires a minimum of 5 years working within Funds of Funds Portfolio and is based in Hong Kong.

The person will work in a small team responsible for the strategic and tactical asset allocation of a Fund of Funds Portfolio. The person will work closely with the Portfolio Managers and risk management division in addition to assisting in building relationships with several external providers in the areas of asset allocation and investment manager selection.

Key responsibilities and previous experience will include:

•            Assisting in  Strategic and tactical portfolio implementation of discretionary asset allocation mandate

•            Work alongside Portfolio Managers and Risk Management to define and implement portfolio optimization tools

•             Analyse and identify new investment opportunities and undertake qualitative and quantitative due diligence

•             analyse and evaluate macro and micro information of the funds and its underlying positions and compare these to similar investments

•             Follow fundamental data and trends to forecast future market conditions

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

• Fluency in Mandarin English

• Strong analytical skills within FOF and alternative investment space

• Excellent organizational and administrative skills

• Able to multi-task; work to tight deadlines and able to cope under pressure

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• A personal interest in investment is advantageous

• Conducting extensive research work closely with the portfolio manager to generate trade ideas to maximize performance.

Applicants should be currently based in Hong Kong and come from an asset management background. A fluency in Mandarin is essential.
