Job Description:
This position requires a candidate experienced in cryptographic, algorithmic, statistical, and learning-theoretic aspects of data mining. While experience in the financial markets is not necessary, it is critical the Cryptanalyst be able to transfer his/her knowledge to the financial markets. The candidate will have strong cryptology skills in order to understand the structure of the markets and other econometric variables. He/She must be able to relate custom-made indicators to the markets. It is important the individual is able to work independently as well as collaboratively within the research team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to financial professionals who use a multi-disciplinary approach to investing and to work with a team of very creative people.
Job Qualifications:
The individual is required to have an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline, with a specialty in Cryptology. A strong mathematical and statistical foundation is critical. He/She should have an in-dept background in cryptography algorithms, encryption, and key management techniques. This highly motivated candidate should have experience in developing prototypes and be willing to learn new technology.
