CTB Business Analyst – Derivatives Middle Office recruitment

This role is situated in our Derivatives Middle Office (DMO) which is responsible for the provision of Business Aligned Operational support to the FICC and Equity Derivatives businesses globally. The successful candidate will be part of the Shared Services team is a new group within the DMO, created specifically to apply focus to a set of core risk and control streams within the Middle Office. The key areas of focus for 2012 will be Book Hierarchy, Trader Mandate controls, Right First Time and Marking controls. There is a significant portfolio of change associated with delivering on these streams of work.
We require a strong Business Analyst to support change managers and senior management in effectively and independently driving and delivering on change objectives. Accountability, transparency and determination are key attributes to be successful in this space. Key responsibilities include:
- Assigned to a specific set of CTB (Change the Bank) objectives and will be expected to independently deliver on those objectives in a timely and effective manner.
- Required to perform high quality, detailed business analysis to support project/change managers in the delivery of short-, medium- and long-term objectives across a variety of streams.
- Scope, define and manage business requirements in conjunction with Subject Matter Experts, stakeholders and technology partners.
- Specific tasks may include preparation and co-ordination of UAT testing cycles, user training and implementation.
- PMO support to shared services group via production of documentation, project plans and management updates.
Requirements:
- Must have extensive experience of working in an Operations / Middle Office environment and able to quickly grasp and take accountability for specific streams of work, identifying the key issues, drivers and challenges of each stream.
- Knowledge of end to end Operational processes, detailed knowledge and experience in multiple operations competency (trade flows, lifecycle management, controls, data repositories).
- Ability to interface comfortably with clients and partners as required and develops effective working relationships, especially around key service providers.
- Solutions delivery focus with a track record in relationship building and management
- Demonstrate influencing skills and the ability to work with senior stakeholders
- Able to work collaboratively, regardless of team or functional boundaries to achieve shared goals.
