Our client is an established online social/casual games company seeking to round out our management team with a highly qualified, intensely motivated, Chief Technology Officer in West Coast of the US. You will be responsible for designing, managing and executing the company’s product strategies. You will lead a 10-15 person technical team of highly qualified persons in the San Francisco Bay area, as well as various remote teams, and assume full responsibility for all technical functions within the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Play an integral role in setting strategic direction
· Sole accountability for technical process, execution and delivery of end product
· Implement “lean” development processes to drive frequent product releases and allow for rapid product maturation
· Familiarity and experience with Agile, Lean and/or Scrum development methodologies
· Control and take ownership of technical planning and project processes management
· Ability to identify and leverage cross-project synergies and inter-project learning
· Identification, promotion and integration of industry-standard 3rd-party tools
· Effective inter-functional coordination

Requirements
· Demonstrable leadership skills, building and managing development teams
· Development emphasis on creating user value
· Excellent interpersonal communication skills; able to clearly express where the product is, its limitations, and potential avenues of growth
· Able to evaluate and deploy efficient networking environments including cloud management
· BS in IT related field. Advanced degree preferable

Knowledge And Experience
· 5+ years experience managing highly scalable web application development
· Knowledge of Poker is a benefit but not a pre-requisite
· Proven experience deploying client/server and server-based/thin-client apps
· Ability to derive technical specifications from stated business requirements
· Open source knowledge a plus
· Platform agnostic approach to development is a plus
· Advanced knowledge of Java and database management systems
· Proven success at deploying customer-driven product development (pull-theory). Emphasis on creating user value
· Exposure to business theory, business process development, management, budgeting, and administrative operations
· Keen attention to detail
· Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities
· Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
· Driven to see projects initiatives through to completion
