CTT/Market Access Internship recruitment

Job Description:

Our Market Access support team is in charge to operate, administer and extend a 500 live servers platform, built with state-of-the-art and low latency technologies, connected to more than 40 Trading Venues, and processing from several million orders per day and a vast amount of financial information in real time; the team is also responsible for running multiple services proving traders with key tools to play against the competitors.

With a goal to continuously improving our platforms, the systems are improved and released on a daily basis.   As part of this work a strong effort of monitoring is done to proactively manage failures, systems capacity and performance. The current monitoring framework needs to be cleaned up, reinforced, and extended.

Our team is seeking 1 or 2 independent and motivated candidates to participate in an internship that will lead this effort and is targeted for a 6 to 8 month duration.

The effort includes but is not limited to:

- understand the design of the platforms

- with the guidance of the team, complete a  monitoring assessment (tools review, scripts inventory, documentation)

- based on the results of the assessment, define improvements to the monitoring framework.

- once the improvements have been defined, develop, test and deliver new monitoring scripts.

- document all aspects of the new framework

- organize training for the whole team

Qualifications Experience:

Proficiency with Unix/Linux system and scripting languages (Perl, Shell, Python)

Education:

BS or MS in progress.
