State Street Global Markets is seeking a client and product specialist in London to represent the suite of currency management products managed by its Portfolio Solutions Group.

Using state-of-the-art technology and scaled trading platforms across a vast range of customer types and based currencies, we deliver hedging services that minimize operational risk and simultaneously reduce tracking error and transaction costs, together with the highest level of transparency.
The Role:
The Currency Management team currently services in excess $140 Billion in assets under management for over 80 clients and 1000 funds globally with significant growth in Europe. The currency management product team services a distinct group of clients, predominately the large mutual / managed fund segment. As such, we are expanding the reach of our client facing efforts in Europe to include the following responsibilities:
Job Summary/Description:
The role is broken down into 4 main parts:
- Selling the Currency Management Product to asset management groups and Hedge Funds.
- Managing client relationships and providing them with professional advice on the markets and any changes to our product offering.
- Looking to cross sell other Portfolio Solutions products to asset management groups such as Multi Manager Platforms etc.
- Development of the Currency Management Product working with our internal Research division.
- Establish themselves as the local product representative for new and existing clients in Europe and Middle East
- Maintain a strong knowledge of the full suite of products including a detailed understanding of the operational process and the fundamental principles of fund accounting and performance measurement as they relate to currency hedging
- Interact on a regular basis with new prospects
- Take an active role in the sales process as new business opportunities are introduced through various sales channels
- Take part in coordinating on-boarding projects with the operations team in Boston to ensure smooth new business initiation
- Participate in industry conferences
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Ideally the candidate will be working in a similar organisation or Prime Broker within a Product/Sales/Relationship role focused on selling Currency Management products to Buy Side Clients.
- Solid FX experience or Currency Management Product exposure
- Experienced at Relationship Building, Sales and Product Management within FX/Currency Management products.
- Managed Fund Platforms – Redemptions/Subscriptions experience would be nice to have, as would Multi Manager Programmes experience
Size of overall team:
The person will report into the Head of Portfolio Solutions sales in London and the head of the currency management product in Boston.
