Description

The successful candidate will have good understanding of Fixed Income products such as Bonds, Treasuries, UTFs, Mortgage securities and their processing and settlement. Responsibilities include ensuring that the staff is in compliance with all the rules and regulations that govern our industry, provide outstanding customer service when interacting with both internal and external clients. Monitor risk and exposure and elevate these items to management when appropriate. Oversee the day to day responsibilities of his associates. Initiate and update policies and procedures as they are remedied or introduced. Provide phone monitoring and coaching sessions for associates. Identify opportunities for system enhancements and cost cutting initiatives. Manage associates performance and provide feedback to enhance their development. Respond to regulatory inquires from compliance and other regulatory organizations such as FINRA

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Masters degree or equivalent is a plus, 3-7 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry is desirable, and knowledge of the full project lifecycle. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A professional and courteous manner when interfacing with all internal and external customers. Excellent interpersonal skills. Possesses supervisory and relationship building skills. Ability to make decisions, exercise judgment and work independently. Ability to effectively prioritize, organize and multi-task in a high-pressure, high volume environment with tight deadlines. Possesses analytical, problem solving and project management skills. Excellent comprehension of overall company operations, policies and procedures. Ability to collect and analyze data. Ability to provide on the job training and coaching skills. Good understanding of all back office areas and work with technology teams. Good customer service and management skills. Required to be very knowledgeable and well versed in Reg. T, NYSE rule 431 and other operation related regulations. Series 7 preferred. Advanced PC skills.
