Accurately process all income payments including dividends, interest, and principal paydowns. ? Process and post all corporate actions both taxable and non-taxable including but not limited to stock splits, mergers, spin-offs, name/cusip changes, and stock dividends. ? Nightly valuation of securities held in client accounts. Process includes obtaining price information from multiple vendors, reviewing/resolving price variances, and communicating final pricing information to internal customers. ? Fast, accurate, and consistent processing of security set up and maintenance. ? Ensure immediate and accurate resolution of all reconciliation outages resulting from trading, income, and corporate actions. ? Process trade files from multiple managers and ensure accurate posting of all trades to trust accounting system. ? Facilitate trade execution of mutual fund orders through Fundserv trading tools and direct trade order communication to fund companies. ? Daily review and validation of trade orders created through APL trading system. ? Accurately process all transaction and data imports from vendors, business partners, and external managers. ? Active participant in problem resolution process including providing responsive and thoughtful feedback to complex customer facing inquiries. ? Accurately reconcile and process all in-kind transfers after assets have arrived including cost-basis updates, in-kind transfer review, in-kind transfer problem resolution, custodian change tracking, completion of mutual fund re-registrations, and coordinating with customer facing internal groups to ensure all advisor requested actions are completed. ? Accurately process client ACH requests through our online banking system and our internal trust accounting system daily. ? Review and reconcile all MVA Accounts. Required qualifications: ? 1-3 Years Financial Services/Custodial Operations Experience ? Ability to complete daily work/tasks in a timely and efficient manner as well as communicate effectively in the event of an increased workload or conflicting prioritized task. ? Ability to identify specific customer needs and communicate information in a timely manner. Manages and meets expectations toward deadlines, both internally and externally. Handles inquiries and resolves issues in a timely manner. Represents the brand and maintains productive relationships while keeping a positive attitude. ? Work within a structured environment with clearly defined SOPs to ensure consistency of practices and resolution. Examines, documents, tests and reviews operational processes and controls for accuracy, appropriateness, risk, and compliance. Provides assessments, recommends solutions and communicates results. Proactive identification and mitigation of risk, including business continuity planning when appropriate. ? Ability to effectively identify root causes, determine appropriate resolution path, and apply appropriate improvements to prevent problem from recurring. Root cause identification includes the ability to continue to ask "why" until all root causes can be indentified. Preferred qualifications: ? Bachelors Degree. ? 3-5 Years Financial Services/Custodial Operations Experience ? Ability to distinguish between different asset classes, security types, transaction types, and margin accounting. Understand and demonstrate knowledge of key characteristics of equities, options, futures, mutual funds, exchange traded funds, unit investment trusts, limited partnerships, mortgage/asset backed securities, treasuries, TIPS, corporate bonds, and municipal bonds. ? Understand and demonstrate knowledge of how to calculate income due for all security types, process all types of corporate actions including both taxable and not taxable and understand implications to security values, and security valuation procedures and industry best practices for all security types. ? Ability to understand and demonstrate all concepts of tax lot accounting, general ledger accounting, inventory accounting methods, and implications of transaction processing on all data interfaces including website, 3rd party data feeds, trading systems, statements/tax reporting/QPR, Investment Managers, performance calculations. ? Understanding of different settlement cycles and calculation of accrued interest bought and sold.
